About This Plan
Room for everybody, all on one floor.
The Alcovy puts the kitchen, dining room and family room together in the middle of the house, under a vaulted family-room ceiling with a fireplace that can be wood-burning, gas or electric. A long covered porch runs across the front, and a second covered porch sits right off the family room out back.
The primary suite has its own wing: a vaulted bedroom with a bay of windows, a freestanding soaking tub, a separate shower and a walk-in closet. The other three bedrooms share the opposite wing with two full baths, so nobody is lined up outside one bathroom door in the morning.
Coming in from the side-entry two-car garage, you walk through a mud room with lockers and a bench, then past the laundry and a walk-in pantry. There's a front office off the foyer for anyone who works from home.
