The Fairview Cottage

About This Plan
A cottage with a courtyard, built for real.
You walk in through a walled front courtyard and an arched front door. The foyer opens straight into a vaulted great room, with a black fireplace wall to one side and four sliding glass doors to the covered rear porch. The fireplace can be wood-burning, gas or electric. The dining room and the island kitchen share the same open space, with a walk-in pantry around the corner.
The primary suite sits on the left behind the garage, with a vaulted bedroom, a bath with a freestanding tub, a glass shower, a double vanity and a private toilet room, and a long walk-in closet. Two more bedrooms sit on the right, each with its own bath. A laundry and mud room with a coat closet sits right off the garage.
Upstairs, we finished the 406 sq ft future-expansion space into a bonus room and added a powder room in the attic space beside it. The covered rear porch has room for an outdoor fireplace.

The starting price comes from what this house actually cost us to build, with the finishes you see in the photos. Every item has other options you can pick, and we price each change before you commit.

Sage-green Shaker cabinets, white quartz countertops, an island with a black undermount sink and a matte-black faucet, and globe pendant lights.
Great room
A vaulted ceiling with wood beams, a floor-to-ceiling black fireplace wall with a wood mantel, and four sliding glass doors to the rear porch.
Primary bath
A freestanding tub, a glass shower with white subway tile, black hexagon floor tile, a double vanity and a private toilet room.
Baths
Shaker vanities with stone-look tops, matte-black faucets, mirrors and lights, tile floors, a glass shower in one bath and a tub and shower in the other.
Floors and doors
Luxury vinyl plank through the living areas, bedrooms and bonus room, tile in the baths, wood stair treads, and black barn doors.
